Custody and Caring 2012

Tuesday 4 September 2012

School of Healthcare, University of Leeds

Overview

An international custody and caring conference has been hosted by the College of Nursing, University of Saskatchewan Canada and the Regional Psychiatric Centre, Correctional Service of Canada since 1997 and held biennially since then. In partnership with the University of Saskatchewan the School of Healthcare at the University of Leeds are now hosting a one day Custody and Caring conference in Leeds to provide a forum for highlighting innovations in caring practice and research across all areas of the criminal justice system.

Caring for offenders is not just the remit of health care professionals. Therefore, the overall goal of the conference is to bring all professionals together who work in all areas of criminal justice, to share good practice and develop networks to support and promote the care of both offenders and the workforce who care for them. Attendance at this conference will give participants the opportunity to hear about practice development and research activity across all areas of the criminal justice system.

You find out more about this event or register your interest by visiting the University of Leeds Healthcare Conferences website.
