Private Sector Involvement in Criminal Justice

Wednesday 27 June 2012

University of Leeds

The Centre for Criminal Justice Studies will host this conference on Private Sector Involvement in Criminal Justice.

Since the late 1980s, the private sector’s role in the delivery of criminal justice services has expanded in terms of its reach and significance. Given the Government’s plans to increase competition within the criminal justice process, private sector involvement is set to expand even further. Despite the importance of the private sector’s participation in criminal justice there has been limited discussion and debate around this issue to date.

This timely conference will have a clear policy focus and draw together policy makers and representatives of private, statutory and voluntary sector organisations.
