2011 marks the 25th anniversary of the foundation of Suzy Lamplugh Trust
Director of the Trust, Catherine Skinner, says:
“When the Trust was set up by Suzy’s parents in 1986, only months after she had disappeared, no-one dreamt that it would still exist 25 years on, let alone have grown into such a vital, influential organization. Everyone involved with the Trust is proud of our past and excited about our future.”
The Trust is Suzy’s legacy to the country and it has benefited many hundreds of thousands of people during the last quarter of a century. We look forward to celebrating our 25th Anniversary and to the next 25 years.
Throughout the year we will be celebrating Trust’s achievements over the last quarter of a century.
Events will include a special anniversary Gala Ballet Evening in June, which will showcase the talents of students from The Royal Ballet Lower School and will include a champagne reception at the historic White Lodge in Richmond Park.
Later in the year a special Anniversary Gala Ball will be taking place, which will incorporate the annual National Personal Safety Awards. These were established by Suzy Lamplugh Trust four years ago to celebrate the work being done across the UK to help keep people safe from violence and aggression. They also provide an opportunity for the Trust to recognise best practice in the field across all sectors.
