On Wednesday 15 June, Suzy Lamplugh Trust hosted a special fundraising Ballet Gala in the splendid and historic surroundings of White Lodge in Richmond Park.
The evening was a resounding success and during the last few days the Trust has received many messages from guests telling us how much they enjoyed it and how wonderful the performances were by the young dancers of The Royal Ballet Lower School.
The evening began with a champagne and canapé reception, when guests were free to admire the stunning setting and visit White Lodge’s impressive Ballet Museum. They then made the short walk to the Margot Fonteyn Theatre, where they were treated to a number of performances by some of the best young dancers in the country.
Some of the comments made by the audience following the performances included: ‘Mesmorising’; ‘Beautiful’; ‘I really couldn’t decide which was my favourite piece, as they were all so stunning’.
Following the performance, guests returned to the main reception for coffee and cake before making their way home through the park.
The event raised in the region of £6,500 for the Trust.
Everyone at the Trust would like to thank The Royal Ballet Lower School and all those who attended the evening for their support and to congratulate the young dancers once more for their thrilling performances.
