The annual report and accounts of the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) details the agency’s performance in 2009-10 alongside audited accounts for the year.
This is the second annual report following the creation of NOMS in April 2008 as an executive agency of the Ministry of Justice, bringing together prison and probation services to deliver the punishment and orders of the courts in custodial and community settings in England and Wales.
NOMS works to protect the public and reduce reoffending. The report highlights progress towards meeting the agency objective to 'prevent victims by changing lives'.
